Benefit for the stakeholders:
Upgrading your chain from Polkadot v1.2.0 to v1.4.0 brings several important benefits for users by incorporating features from both the v1.3.0 and v1.4.0 releases:
Key Enhancements from v1.3.0
- Optimized Transaction Throughput: Improvements to the transaction pool enhance the chain's ability to handle more transactions concurrently, reducing latency and increasing throughput. The upgrade in handling
MaxPriorityFee
also helps prioritize high-fee transactions more efficiently.
New Features in v1.4.0
- Performance and Security Enhancements: The runtime improvements in v1.4.0 include optimizations for staking rewards and governance processes, making the network more scalable and secure. The changes in handling validator rewards will lead to smoother and more predictable payouts for users who participate in staking.
Overall, these updates aim to enhance user experience by improving transaction efficiency, interoperability, and network reliability. This upgrade will enable users to leverage the latest features and performance improvements of the Polkadot SDK.
Git: v6.1.0
